Like most website operators, mLabs collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. mLabs purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how mLabs visitors use its website. From time to time, mLabs may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usage of its website.
mLabs also collects potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses and e-mail addresses. mLabs does not use such information to identify its visitors, however, and does not disclose such information, other than under the same circumstances that it uses and discloses personally-identifying information, as described below.
You hereby agree to the registration and use of the information described above.
Certain visitors to Konnect choose to interact in ways that require mLabs to gather personally-identifying information. The amount and type of information that it gathers depend on the nature of the interaction. For example, we ask visitors who sign up for an account at Konnect to provide a username and email address. Konnect does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below. And visitors can always refuse to supply personally-identifying information, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in certain website-related activities.
You hereby agree to the registration and the use of information described above.
Modifying Your Personal Information
If you are a registered user of our Services, we provide you with tools and account settings to access or modify the personal information you provided to us and associated with your account.
You can also permanently delete your Konnect account. If you follow the instructions in account settings, your account will be deactivated and then deleted. When your account is deactivated, it is not viewable on the Konnect application.
Konnect may collect statistics about the behavior of visitors to its websites. For instance, Konnect may monitor the most popular projects on the Konnect site. Konnect may display this information publicly or provide it to others. However, Konnect does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below.
Protection of Certain Personally-Identifying Information
mLabs discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only to those of its employees, contractors and affiliated organizations that (i) need to know that information in order to process it on mLabs behalf or to provide services available at mLabs websites, and (ii) that have agreed not to disclose it to others. Some of those employees, contractors, and affiliated organizations may be located outside of your home country; by using mLabs websites, you consent to the transfer of such information to them. Other than to its employees, contractors, and affiliated organizations, as described above, mLabs discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only when required to do so by law, or when mLabs believes in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the property or rights of mLabs, third parties or the public at large. If you are a registered user of the Konnect website and have supplied your email address, Konnect may occasionally send you an email to tell you about new features, solicit your feedback, or just keep you up to date with our products. If you send us a request (for example via a support email or via one of our feedback mechanisms), we reserve the right to publish it in order to help us clarify or respond to your request or to help us support other users. Konnect takes all measures reasonably necessary to protect against the unauthorized access, use, alteration or destruction of potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information.
mLabs products and services may be provided using resources and servers located in various countries around the world. Therefore your personal data may be transferred across international borders outside the country where you use our services, including to countries that have different legal rules on data protection. In such cases we take appropriate steps to ensure adequate protection for your personal data, for example by using standard agreements approved by relevant authorities and by requiring the use of other appropriate technical and organizational information security measures.
You have the right to inspect what information is registered about you and to correct any errors in such information.
We may collect and store information (including personal information) locally on your device using mechanisms such as browser web storage (including HTML 5) and application data caches.
Our servers automatically record information (“Log Data”) created by your use of the Services. Log Data may include information such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, the referring web page, pages visited, location, your mobile carrier, device and application IDs, search terms, and cookie information. We receive Log Data when you interact with our Services, for example, when you visit our websites, sign into our Services, or interact with our email notifications. Konnect uses Log Data to provide our Services and to measure, customize, and improve them.
Konnect uses third party vendors and hosting partners to provide the necessary hardware, software, networking, storage, and related technology required to run Konnect.io.
All payments related to the Services are processed by Paypal or its payment service providers. Konnect is not responsible for any matter relating to such payments, or any information that you provide relating to any such payments.
Policy towards Children
Our Services are not directed to persons under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we take steps to remove such information and terminate the child’s account. Children under 13 years old are not allowed to create an account without a parent’s or guardian’s express consent. We recommend that minors over the age of 13 ask their parents for permission before sending any information about themselves to anyone over the Internet. If you are under 13 years of age, your use of the Services is a confirmation that your legal parent or guardian has expressly consented to your use of the Services and provision of information and content as described herein.
Because we want to be able to focus on building a great product, we have outsourced most of the server-side components to third party services. Pieces of your data might be transferred to them as part of normal operations, but never as the result of an agreement to exchange data. For sake of transparency, below is the list of all the third party services we use:
- Google Cloud: they make our servers run and host our databases.
- Mailgun: they power our emails.
- Google Analytics: they store data about traffic and visitors, which allows us to better understand how our site is being used and thus figure out how we could make it better.
- Mailchimp: we send newsletters through them.
- Cloudflare: they protects and accelerate our website.
